Design challenge

The multi-storey building required a coherent sprinkler and zone-module fire alarm strategy. Detector placement, zone division and equipment monitoring had to align with the building layout and product limitations.

Key decisions

Zone strategy

Logical division of floors and special spaces for faster identification and easier troubleshooting.

Beam Detection

Review of range, line of sight, obstructions and transmitter/receiver placement in high spaces.

UV/IR Flame Detection

Consideration of field of view, fuel characteristics, false alarm sources, power and monitoring requirements.

Suppression coordination

Review of riser, floor control assemblies, special spaces and alarm-system interfaces.

Confidentiality control: Client identity, building code, site location, equipment quantities, cable routes, drawings, actual zoning and proprietary equipment details are not published on this page.
